Catching up on publishing some writing prompts from May’s Stream of Consciousness POV Workshop, hosted by Edith Bow

Prompt: quintessential, nuisance, vegan

Time: 15 minutes

Swirling aromas punch my nose in earthtones. The stench of tubers and leaves crushed into overpriced dishes carried on faux wood trays by morose looking waitresses gliding past. A trio of women in yoga pants still wearing their bug eyed sunglasses indoors sit at the adjacent table. Each woman yaps at the other two in words fragmented whilst staring mesmerized into the idol and profane screen of a smartphone.
